On Thursday September 12, 2013, in Kauai, Hawaii, there were two separate flight-related incidents. The first incident involved a bird strike where flying glass from the aircraft’s windscreen injured one person. A few hours later, another helicopter made a hard landing, and one of the persons on board was hospitalized with unknown injuries. The links embedded below chronicle the circumstances of these flight-related tragedies and we at Pilot Law, P.C. are actively investigating these unfortunate incidents. In cases such as these, affected persons may have legal recourse against various entities, including the helicopter manufacturer and/or operator.
